Teaching, Writing and Directing have always been a big part of my creative journey as an actor.

Teaching = creativity, you ask?

Absolutely for me, as I have learnt to work with the energies presented to me in each group I have guided. I consider myself an intuitive. I thrive by listening to my own inner guidance system, and have taught thousands of groups of different ages, over my 40 years in the Bizz.

Each individual has different needs and I strive to meet the needs of each one. I myself also become a student, always hungry to learn more about myself and each individual I teach in a session.

Teaching a group is highly stimulating, as I work to find cohesive energetic communication within the group and in my interaction with each individual. I’ve guided both actors and dancers in the art of acting.

I don’t believe in imposing authority on actors, as if there’s only one way of doing things, one method. I believe that many roads lead to Rome, and I prefer to hold space so an actor can find his own voice, his own direction, his or her own inner guidance system.

Methods are only a key in the doorway to each individual’s perspective.

I have been training actors through breath work, movement, meditation, character mask work, and improvisation designed for actors, including scene and improvisation work for the camera for many years.

In our sessions, the actor is reminded again and again to listen internally and externally to what’s going on, to follow their own impulse and instincts and to remain alive and connected to their bodies, to learn the power of the present

moment, to remember that we are an energy system and how to tap into that, to be conscious of their limiting beliefs, to understand the importance of psycho-physical connection, and more.

Writing has brought me to produce and direct over 13 Original Showcases in Montreal as well as in Toronto through Kids in Action managed by Nathalie Gauthier.

I founded a Training Ground for Actors in 1998-2011, entitled The Dynamic Theater Factory, which through our creative shows produced over 13 years, launched the professional careers of many young actors, some of whom now enjoy international careers.

For example: Emily VanCamp, Spiro Malandrakis, Ricky Mabe, Jesse Camacho, and many more.

Testimonials

Hi Anik,

Thank you for the greatest gift you can give a young person in their adolescent years. Confidence. Your program keeps kids off the street, focused on a goal and improves their self- esteem. I see it all in Stefania. In as much as Stefania had already been on stage, she lacked confidence in herself and in her abilities. Your program helped change that both at school and in her singing. Even after the first year in your program, I could not help but notice the change.

She’s no longer scared to take chances.

Failure has been replaced by exploration.

Thanks and continue the great work.
